Connect your own Zoom account to your Sipdora teaching dashboard. This guide covers setup, live classes, eligible recording imports and removing the connection.
Before you connect
- Sign in to an approved Sipdora teacher account.
- Activate Zoom Integration & Automation in your dashboard. Sipdora plan and integration fees may apply.
- Use a Zoom account you own or are authorised to connect. Your organisation may require administrator approval.
- For automatic recording imports, use a Zoom host with cloud recording enabled and a Sipdora teacher plan that includes automatic recording lessons.
One-click authorisation is subject to Zoom app approval and regional availability. If Zoom reports that the app is not available to your account, contact support. Do not share your Zoom password or another teacher’s API credentials.
Add your account
- Open your Sipdora dashboard and choose Connect My Zoom, or open Zoom → My Zoom account / Set API.
- Select Connect with Zoom. A Zoom authorisation page opens in a new tab.
- Sign in to the correct Zoom account, review the requested permissions and approve only if you agree.
- Return to Sipdora and check the connected email and connection status.
Schedule and run a class
Open your Live or Hybrid class and select Start live class or schedule a session. Choose My own Zoom, select the correct class and topic, and review the date, time and meeting settings. Zoom licence, participant and duration limits still apply. The separate Sipdora Zoom subscription supplies a managed host; it is not the same as connecting your own account.
Import cloud recordings
- Open Zoom Recordings and enable recording imports where your plan permits them.
- Set automatic recording to Cloud and ensure cloud recording is enabled for the Zoom host.
- Use a meeting mapped to a topic in your Sipdora Live or Hybrid class.
- After Zoom finishes processing the recording, check the import status. Depending on the configured policy, the new lesson is published or saved as a draft for review.
Only eligible, completed MP4 recordings are imported. Local recordings, unrelated meetings and unlinked Zoom recordings are not automatically added. Imports are subject to file-size and storage limits. Sipdora does not delete the original Zoom cloud file.
Troubleshooting
- App not available: Zoom approval, account restrictions or regional availability may prevent authorisation.
- Reconnect required: reconnect using the same teacher and Zoom account. Revoked authorisation or changed app credentials may require consent again.
- Waiting: Zoom may still be processing the cloud recording. Background checks must also be running on Sipdora.
- This recording does not exist: check that the meeting produced a cloud recording, that it belongs to the connected host, and that it has not been deleted or expired in Zoom.
- Imports disabled: check the teacher plan, active integration access, global policy and teacher recording switch.
Remove the connection
In Sipdora, open Connect My Zoom and choose Disconnect account. This removes the locally stored OAuth connection and attempts to revoke Zoom access. You can also sign in to Zoom App Marketplace, open Manage → Added Apps, locate Sipdora Teacher Connect and remove it. To clear the locally saved connection as well, use Disconnect in Sipdora.
Disconnecting does not cancel Sipdora subscriptions, delete your original Zoom recordings or automatically delete previously imported class lessons. Manage billing separately. For deletion of retained account or recording data, contact support; ownership verification and applicable retention requirements may apply.
Data and permissions
The integration uses the authorised Zoom profile ID and email, meeting information and eligible cloud recording files to provide these features. OAuth tokens and the OAuth client secret are encrypted in the integration. Meeting metadata and imported recordings follow the existing Sipdora database, media and configured offload workflow. This guide does not claim independently verified hosting encryption or security certification.
Review our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions for data handling, retention and rights requests.
